Tasmania Trip Saga: Part 2
The Settlement
A few pictures below showing the settlement. The buildings and all are practically ruined with bits and pieces left here and there due to 2 fires taken place. And they all look quite the same to me, except that some are big and some are smaller. The few that are different from the rest includes obviously the church, and the Commandant's House.
The day we went there wasn't really a day for an outing. Because of the rain, we were all soaked and cold. To sum it up, we were crazy noobs trotting the Land of Convicts taking random photos. It's the kiasu-ness in us, to make most out of the tix money, we take as many photos as we can. There's definitely, no other way.

It's a small little room where people who did something wrong get locked up, say like, if you hum Twinkle Twinkle Little Star in you cell. It's a prison in a prison thing. The only difference is that this room is all dark and no sunlight can enter. It's main purpose is to deprive the person from all senses. Ebil!!!!

The metal frames you see are suppose to be beds. The floor are gone due to the fires.

"My dear child, please bear in mind always that God is with you."

The above 2 pictures were taken in the Commandant's House, one's in the study room and the other the kitchen. My face is so big!! *shrieks*
The Museum (initially spelled as Muzium, WTH's wrong with me?!) in Port Arthur's Visitor Centre
It's not exactly a museum. It sort of like display the stuff the convicts did during their period of time in Port Arthur. The convicts were even grouped to bad and good convicts back then where the bad ones take up arduous chore like mining and cutting down trees in the wild. If you think they can escape while working in the wild then you're wrong! The place is largely surrounded by water and the others that are not were bordered by acres and acres of forest back then. They either freeze to death, eaten by owls which mistaken them as mice, starve and proceed to eating leaves and die of leaf overdose or whatever deadly situation that you can think of.

Hurm....too hard. Not my type.

I found my soul mate! He's shorter than me! *Sorry, i'm not in my right mind.

Convict A: There you go, 1 gold coin.
Convict B: I've got no money, will you accept my butt? Please?

I'm Convict 1388 with the Levis' Jeans and Nine West bag. Nice to meet you. I'm going to be the Commandant's mistress soon, so treat me nice.
So our second day in Tasmania was spent with the leftovers of the convicts. Not a very pleasant trip since the rain was pretty annoying. Plus my socks were all wet because there are holes in the base of my shoes. Both sides, so it was kinda uncomfortable walking in them, and colddddd. But i thoroughly enjoyed the histories of the place. Very interesting. No cheat you.
The Pier
Now after the port, comes the pier. It's called the Elizabeth St Pier. We went there mainly for the fish and chips, and as a past time when we were there, we sightsee. Hehe. Nothing much to say about the fish and chips and pier. Nothing special. Nice, but nothing exceptionally captivating. Sea breeze was lovely though, since it doesn't stink of fish.

This photo is specially for Hai Xin. RAWR. I took it for you! You better be seeing this.

Wow i can take artistic pictures! Hidden talent?

And we spotted a seal!! Or was it a sea lion? We weren't too sure. Cause they look quite the same in my opinion. But i have a hunch it's a seal, cause i like seal better. Anyway, I was kinda freaked out + ecstatic at first when i saw something big moving around in the water. Like a premonition of danger arose for a second. I never expect it could be a cute seal/sea lion! How lucky! Viv (or someone else) said it looks like it's injured. T.T Hope not...

Me on a floating restaurant! I think they copied the idea from Hong Kong.....

Viv buying her 2nd dozen of oysters.

Xin Yee with the hosting coulpe and Xin Yee.
Mt. Wellington
Mt. Wellington can be said as our main reason of visiting Tasmania. Because it has snow! Yea our main reason was actually the snow. Although i've seen snow before when i was in New Zealand, but i didn't want to believe that it was snow because it looked like normal
ais kacang kinda ice. Actually i did believe it was once snow, just it became old. Not the fresh kind. At that time i thought, 'God knows how long it has been here. It's not snow anymore!'. So i went to Tasmania to search for fresh snow. Not really making sense here. Oh well. I've got the answer i want already. Snow is indeed, like the
ais kacang we normally eat. Where's my smooth and fine snow flakes?!?!?! Nooooooooo!!!!

A ghostly figure up the path. It evolved from a 3-legged to a pentapodal creature.

She trying hard to communicate with the snow.... And have you every seen someone who bring their blanket out on an outing?

Siaw Ek with her snowball.

Me acting cute with the rocks.

My fellow snow, thou shalt turn smooth.

Tasmania!
