Happy Merdeka peeps!

It's Merdeka Day yesterday. And i sang Negaraku while eating my pizza. I don't know if i still love my country. But i don't want to go back and serve my country and slog like a dog. I don't want my children to be born there. I don't like Proton or Perodua cars. I don't like buying Buatan Malaysia. I'm not proud of it. Do i love my country?

How to you define your love to your country? Get a MBBS and work in the government hospital while the ambulance arrived 30 minutes late at an accident scene? Drive all national cars when ministers are fighting for Merz consficated without APs? I need something other than the flaws to convince me that i can still love my country.

Perhaps this....

Cakap apa Cemerlang, Gemilang, Terbilang?! The ranking is already deteriorating and they're blatantly propagating their pride. Can you imagine, 2 years later...Tahniah Universiti Kita Dinobatkan Sebagai World's Top 500 Universtities. So like my noob secondary school ex-principal. "SABS (my sec school) ialah sekolah world class, ada padang besar, kantin besar computer lab, guru guru pakar, pelajar pelajar cemerlang....(he's very tempted to say guru besar cemerlang, i know)" And the computer lab actually took 5 years to build.

So i'm not a patriotic person. But i still celebrate Merdeka. We had a countdown here in The Village itself sponsored by UMNO. God knows why UMNO is involved. And they totally splurged on this event. I reckon everyone has a box of pizza of their own and all-you-can-eat muffins. Its so miraculous that you see no one rushing for the food and glaring at you for taking a whole plate of pizza.

Merdeka in Australia is good. Why why why? Because there's FOOD. But the syrup tastes EXACTLY like antibiotics. OMFG.

Muh-hi-bah. I don't know how to spell this word.

Aku dan Dila. She's such a nice girl. Kita anak Malaysia! =.=

Dentistry gang. Me, Asma, Dila.

Don't you ever think there's no segregation. Segregation is a must in every Malaysian event. Yang bertudung sini. Tak bertudung tepi. I'm not talking about racism here but it's just an automatic grouping. But uh, who cares.

Anak anak jati Malaysia sekalian, Selamat Hari Merdeka!
